JoyToy x Warhammer – Death Korps
You know when you write 4 back to back articles and schedule them to go live for the maximum audience engagement, but then forget about them. Then you look at your site stats a week later wondering why you’ve had no visits. Then realise you posted them to go live in the wrong year? No? Just me. And i;m an Idiot? Ok well, here we are with now 4 back to back articles about JoyToy Space marine models that you probably already know about.
It’s nice to see some more natural humans come to this collection, I’m curious as to whether these boys will be the usual size of a JoyToy Figure or if they will be upscaled somewhat to fit in with the 40k aesthetic.

JoyToy x Warhammer – Death Korps – Introduction
As I said previously, I’m cutting down the intro comments as there are too many of these to keep up with now. So I’ll just say – Join our JoyToy Group and share what you are doing with these guys.
Ok, let’s look at 6 pretty much identical models.
JoyToy x Warhammer – Death Korps
Let’s have look at the squad.
again with the odd numbers, 6 – not 10. but I suppose – you could just get 4 more of the standard Guardsman and give each a different loadout.
JoyToy Death Korps – Sergeant
The Seargeant bares a striking resemblance to the rest of the squad, but he does have the slightly different shoulder pad insignia.
Armed with a Chainsword, bolt postol and Lasgun
JoyToy Death Korps – Guardsman
Once again, these sculpts look identical
this guy comes with a lasgun, frag grenade and M39 Entrenching Tool (a spade)
JoyToy Death Korps – Guardsman with Flamer
The flamer is nice, good to have specialists in the unit.
However this has the fewest accessories of any model in the squad.
JoyToy Death Korps – Guardsman Communications Specialist
The comms specialist is pretty cool
I especially like the little detailed map he comes with
JoyToy Death Korps – Guardsman Demolitions Specialist
The slightly more armoured demo specialist
kitted out with a small variety of mines and detonators.
JoyToy Death Korps – Guardsman Medic
And finally the Medic.
At least his handbag comes with him, rather than as a “separate model” the way GW passed it off in Kill Team
JoyToy x Warhammer – Death Korps – Final Thoughts
Depends if you like them, they aren’t my cup of tea but I can appreciate the sculpts and the options are damn cool. Personally, I’m looking forward to a few more models, outside of the usual fare of Space Marines
