ok, so let’s do this, let’s have a look at the best places to buy Dominion around the world. We did this same thing for Indomitus and had quite a few people thank us for the effort. No worries guys, it’s what we are here for. Today we are looking at the best places to buy AOS Dominion. At the very least it should give you some options.

We’re a bit more prepped this time, Indomitus was billed as something special, but we all assumed Indomitus was just the name of 40k 9th edition. But alas this was not to be. Indomitus was something unique and of incredibly high value. Which we later learned (painfully) due to the price of 2 of the individual sprues from that set.

So, now at least, we expect Dominion to be in the same vein, limited. one and done. The actual AOS 3.0 will probably release later with 3 specific starter sets.

So, like Indomitus, expect this to be sold out… fast, Indomitus actually took out Games Workshop’s website at 10:00 on the morning of release. So unless they’re more geared up, it could happen again.

With us now having some expectation of just how limited this thing is and how quickly it may sell, there’s no guarantee that Made to Order will be an option with this one either. So basically get an order in somewhere this Saturday or potentially don’t get it at all.

Remember, this one is released 2 weeks after pre-orders go live. Which is kinda odd considering this will sell out before 11:00!

Support your FLGS this week

If you don’t know, FLGS is Friendly Local Game Store, or Gaming Store if you prefer. This is your nearest independent brick and mortar hobby outlet.

As (at least in the UK) we are currently in a lul of cases during this Pandemic, we are awarded many freedoms which other countries are not. Such as all of our retail stores being allowed to open. With this in mind, it will be those independent Brick & Morter operators who have been hit incredibly hard in the last 18 months. They need our support now more than ever.

I implore everyone reading this to first call your local game store (if you have one) to find out what the situation is with their pre-orders. Officially, independents aren’t allowed to start taking preorders until Saturday Morning at 10:00 when it goes live everywhere. But there’s nothing stopping you from calling to gauge your chances of getting it with them.

I lost my FLGS about 3 months before all this lockdown lark started as they had shut down. But then just before (like a week before) the poop hit the fan around the world and everywhere physical closed. A new FLGS opened up even closer to where I Live. Thanks, Shadeglass Games just for being there. So I’ll be flying the flag and supporting them.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Dominion Availability?

If you remember Indomitus you’ll have an idea of what we are in for this weekend.

With Indomitus we were in lockdown, and the only place to order anything was online. Due to covid, copies were limited and Independents had a very small allocation.

The Saturday it released was online Carnage. I personally had 4 windows open on my PC for Games Workshop, Element Games, Wayland Games and The Outpost. From about 9:58 onwards, refreshing the pages greeted me nothing more than a 504 error. or page down for maintenance.

Traffic on Element Games was so heavy that theier staff could not even access the page to mark the product as available.

It was GW’s own site that allowed me through the checkout first and got my money, I even managed to snag the collector’s coin (so I was told, I was emailed 2 weeks later, the night before delivery advising that they were out of stock – and yes, I’m still p’d off about that).

Preorders were popping up on eBay that very afternoon at 300% retail price. wow.

Then GW dropped the bomb and offered made to order (haha scalpers!).

With AOS Dominion, things may be (“MAY BE”) a bit calmer. For one, it’s summer, more people are outside enjoying the hot weather. Two, the influx of hobbyists we’ve had in the last 18 months are starting to fall away as the world is opening up a bit. It’s not like Indomitus was when we were all still in lockdown.

Also, AOS sorry to say has just never been as popular as 40k, things may change with this new release as the models are so incredible. I especially like the new ~~BladeGuard Veterans~~ Stormcast Annihilators.

In Summary, you’re gonna want to be ready at 9:55 on this Saturday morning. Tip: F5 refreshes the page.

How to Buy Warhammer Age of Sigmar Dominion

If you really really really want Dominion, follow these simple steps.

Call your FLGS now and gauge their availability and your chances of bagging one with them
Check the list below

For your country open as many of these stores as you can in different windows and tabs before 9:55 this Saturday morning
From about 9:57 am, click on each tab and window in order of preference and hit F5.
Watch the pages refresh and as soon as you see one selling Dominion, add it to your card.

As you go through the checkout process, if it is slow, keep refreshing the other pages and if you see another one go live, add it to cart.
Repeat step 6 until you get through the checkout at one store.

Just because you get it in your shopping cart at one store does not mean that copy is allocated to you, that site could fail before you complete your purchase, so keep trying others.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Dominion - Limited Rulebook

Even if you miss out in the morning, check back at the below stores regularly. Throughout Saturday and again on Sunday and Monday. Each store will likely face customers cancelling their orders throughout the following weeks and that stock will be made available online at random times.

There’s also a good chance that the lesser-known stockists will have copies later into the day too.. we had a number of people thank us for our Indomitus article, Just for sharing a list of places that they may not have known about previously.

If you really want Dominion, there’s a good chance you will get your hands on it. This is my process with all big new releases and it hasn’t failed me yet.
