Let me do a super quick summary to let you know what these are and why this is special.

In summary, they are just amazingly balanced across the range, with both excellent and consistent coverage throughout. They have a matte finish, (which i personally love) and they thin down super well for layering.

The layers you can paint with these are incredibly smooth, with very little effort. (painting models with these feels like cheating).

I have recommended these to tons of people and I’m yet to hear a single person say they don’t like them!

As I said, they have a matte finish, so if that’s not your thing then they simply aren’t for you, but they are worth a shot, at least one pot, just to see what all the fuss is about.

Pro Acryl – Why the Big Deal?

So, just some background, Pro Acryl Paints are made by Monument Hobbies (nee SlowFuse Gaming). For a long while, Monument was partnered with Creature Caster, and the former was responsible for the hobby hardware on that site. (which is why the older bottles had both a Monument badge and a Creature Caster badge on the logo)

Monument and Creature Caster dissolved that direct part of the partnership and Monument Launched their own site.

The issue here is that this site was dedicated to sales across countries in the Americas. Shipping to anywhere else was more than prohibitive.

This paint is in such high demand that it has spent most of its time with various parts of the collection sold out.

People get excited about these just when they announce a couple of colours back in stock!

These two here are from Expansion Set #3 and are the reason this post is as late as it is – I was making sure I preordered this set before anyone else had the chance!

Oh, and did I mention each bottle is 22ml of paint for only £2.75! (nearly twice as much paint as you would get in a citadel pot at pretty much the same price!)

So anyway, you want to pre-order it…

Element Games will be selling and distributing the paints across Europe? For me, I’m just happy I don’t need to pay double the price of these paints just to get them shipped over.

Oh and it’s not just paint, the whole Monument Hobbies line is available to order too… Brushes, Jentastic Brush Soap (also Excellent), Storage Racks and Carry Cases too!

Seriously, order some and thank me when it arrives, I’ll wait here for the applause. (ok, that;s a bit arrogant of me, but the point is. I bloody love this stuff!).
