Another month goes by and here we are again, with another reveal for Warhammer Imperium magazine. This time we will confirm the contents of 67-70. And there are some bumper models in here too!!!! It’s one you’ve all been waiting for. Unless you are a scummy Necron Player! I jest…. But nobody seriously plays Necron…. Right?

Warhammer Imperium Magazine Issues 81-90 News
As many of you know. Last time we did an update, we had the joy of confirming that Imperium will be extended with another 10 issues.
Let me be clear as a few people were confused last time.
This is not extending the known collection across 10 more issues. it’s not like they are now going to release Roboute Guilliman across 4 issues (putting his base in a lone issue). At least not unless that was the plan all-along. But that would still be done within issues 1-80.
These 10 extra issues (81-90) are bonus issues with contents added beyond the known collection.
That’s right. 10 more issues, with, as of now, completely unrevealed contents! (no paints or brushes or other hobby gubbins. No Scenerey. It’s all models!)
Do you want to know what is in these issues? Of course you do.
Do I know? Of Course, I do. It’s really cool stuff!
Can I tell you what it is yet?
No…
Not Until December 1st – see you then.

So, I know what you want to know. Which issue has Marneus and which issue has the Honour Guard?
Well, I don’t know. I’ve read through both issues 69 & 70 and neither issue makes it clear what models come with what issue. Issue 69 has the build guide for all 3 models and 70 has the paint guide.
Both covers state “includes 3 plastic miniatures” on the cover’s small print and the build guide in issue 69 says you will need both issues to follow the guide.
Why am I making such as big deal about this? well, because as far as I can tell. Marneus is on one sprue and the Honour Guard are on a separate sprue. Continued below…)
Update: 17/11/22 – As a couple of people have pointed out – Mpart of Marneus’ hand is on the sprue which contains the two Honour Guard. So unless you want to kitbash/convert him, you need both sprues. The Honour Guard are on one sprue and I know many people are wanting to proxy these as bladeguard (a unit sorely missing from this collection) – and why not. it’s little more than a head swap.

So, it appears they are doing everything they can to avoid pre-informing people about what models come in which issues.
This is likely not as intentional as it looks. and will more than likely be missing in translation between the internal contents that GW are most likely responsible for and the Cover details the publisher are likely to be responsible for.
As far as anyone will be concerned, sprue or no, these 3 models are technically 1 set.
But yeah, many people out there will be wanting multiple Marneus himself. But equally I would assume that others want more honour guard.
But how will they spit it across the 2 issues? 1 sprue in each, or 2 sprues in one issue and 3 bases in another?
My money (and this is just a guess) is that Marneus will come in the first issue, and the Honour Guard will come in the second.
AGAIN! JUST A GUESS!
Warhammer Imperium Magazine Contents Issues 71-90 – What’s Left?

looking forward to receiving Calgar.
“Do I know? Of Course, I do. It’s really cool stuff!

No…
Not Until December 1st – see you then.”
Calendar marked with the date. I’m hoping that there will be a flyer for both each army, but a storm speeder, invictor tatical warsuit, C’tan shard of the void dragon or Szarekh, the silent king would be great (although the last two is a BIG wish).
Also, I don’t know if you have heard anything, but I saw today that the Stormbringer website has changed to a page saying that the collection will be launching in February 2023. I’ve got my finger’s crossed that this is true.
I am sure you will be happy 😉
Looking at the sprue pictures on the GW website the honour guard are on one sprue *plus* Calgar’s fingers so you will need to get both issues to be able to make Calgar.
Thanks, appreciate that.
Hello, thanks for the article, appreciated as always. With the Calgar sprues, looking at the sprues and the instructions, GW have put two small, key pieces of Calgar’s power fists (the knuckles below the row of skulls) on the sprues for the Honour Guard (pieces 16 and 21), so you can’t make him on his own from just one sprue/issue.
Thanks for confirming.
