JoyToy x Warhammer – Chaos Helbrute
Last Updated on May 6, 2022 by FauxHammer
You know when you write 4 back to back articles and schedule them to go live for the maximum audience engagement, but then forget about them. Then you look at your site stats a week later wondering why you’ve had no visits. Then realise you posted them to go live in the wrong year? No? Just me. And i;m an Idiot? Ok well, here we are with now 4 back to back articles about JoyToy Space marine models that you probably already know about.
Oh come on guys, stop now. just stop for a bit. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but JoyToy is just releasing too much too fast. it’s like a series of models a week and at an approx £100 a set outlay, who can honestly afford to keep up. especially with Necromunda just dropping at £180 and Horus Heresy coming next month at £240! Games Workshop really needs to start doing more to bring in a new audience rather than take more from the existing one.

JoyToy x Warhammer – Chaos Helbrute – Introduction
I’m kinda bored of these now, sorry, is it just me? anyway, come join our Facebook group
Thanks, let’s have a look at the Helbrute.
JoyToy x Warhammer – Chaos Helbrute – Introduction
Impressive right?

There’s a lot of cool detail to unpack on these, specifically the fleshy body beneath the armoured carapace

Unfortunately those join lines in the plastic stick out

The proportions on this also see a bit off when thinking back to the retail option. those arms look fway to far out from the body.

The changes are likely here to support some level of articulation.

though this articulation does seem limited to twisting the arms up and down
JoyToy x Warhammer – Chaos Helbrute – Final Thoughts
I think I’m just exhausted by looking at JoyToy Models this week, but I’m just thinking, meh, at this point. And yeah, this has been upgraded a bit to match it up a bit more accurately to the Chaos warriors they released recently. And I do like that.
But I just think the time spent on this, for the price it will cost us, could have been spent on some more popular models.
Detailed sure, but from what it appears, movement-wise, he’s a bit of a basic b!t*h.
