Warhammer Imperium Magazine Issues 35 – 38 Contents

A bit of a change this week, especially n your savings. As of March 7th, 2022 GW have increased the prices of all their models. Anywhere from 5%-20%. Ideally, and at some point, I’ll go back and recalculate savings from Issue 27 onwards, which was the first issue to come out after the price rise.

Good news for you though, Each issue now saves you another 5%-20% and new savings are reflected below.

So, the only way I have presently of working out the value of this is from Nachmund. It is the only place that you can currently get this sprue at the time of writing. So, it’s the price of that box divided by the 14 sprues in it. Yeah, 14!

Warhammer Imperium Magazine Contents – What’s Left?

As we are heading right toward the halfway point, I thought this would be a fun activity. Estimating how many issues each of the remaining items in the collection may be over to see how this fairs.

Below, I have guesstimated based on the number of sprues per set, how many issues I think we may see certain models arrive over. And yes, this is just a personal guess. I have no word from Hachette on any of the below.

I think it’s rather obvious that the larger (more expensive) items will be spread over as many issues as possible.

In previous collections (Conquest & Mortal Realms) we did get issues with bases in, just to spread the value of some very large items. As things are a touch smaller this time round (no massive grav-tanks), I don’t expect we will see that again here.

But it is certainly possible.

Total Estimation36
Estimated Paint Issues6

Based on the above, I’m somewhat confident in my estimation. We have 42 issues left and if my guesses are right, this leaves 6 issues remaining for paints. We’ve had 7 “paints only” issues, up to issue 40. (yes 39 and 40 are models not paints). So expecting another 6 seems close enough. If we get more paints issues, this will just mean that more of the models above will be collected into fewer issues. Yay!

Warhammer Imperium Magazine Issues 35 – 38 Contents – Final Thoughts

I think I’m fair in reflecting that the audience may feel that we have had a few weeks of so-so deliveries. but this is a smart move from the publisher. I saw our traffic drop considerably toward the back end of the earlier collections. I presumed this was based on people taking what they wanted from the early issue, then dropping off as the contents started to dwindle.

Here it is very back-end heavy and as you can see from the additional list above. there’s still a ton of great stuff to look forward to.

Come back next time to see what else we are getting, including our final ad-mech units.

Whilst not an exciting set of issues there doesn’t see to be much filler left! Looks we are rapidly approaching the meat of the part work, which after 4 or so lean months is very welcome. As you say they do seem to have learnt from tail off and fatigue, though the Repulsor at the and of Conquest was a smart move.

I like the sprue analysis at the end gives a good indication of what is to come. Only suggestion would be that based on previous part works, Guilliman, a 3 sprue £40 model, in 1 issue for £8.99 is highly unlikely. A sprue per issue at £26.97 is possible but 3 sprues over 2 issue at £17.98 seems most likely. Luckily his base is on a sprue so hopefully no base only shenanigans! Though I’d be very happy if your prediction is correct.

Only part of Guilliman’s base is on the sprue… all that rubble does glue down to a standard black 60mm round base.

I think you might be slightly off on putting the Sisters as being over 4 issues. If they are the ones from the £125 set (and now in the Combat patrol set) then the canoness will be on 1 sprue and the rest will be on 2 sprues. So I think its most likely going to be 3 issues, not 4.

    cool Analysis and speculation :)
I’m a little bit glad that we here in Germany are behind you guys in the UK, so we always know every issue ahead of time.

I know you are mainly referencing the value of the plastic, and it’s true, for most subscriber this is the main point of interest. But for me, as a “casual Hobbyist”, even the “slow” or “so-so” issues bring me joy. I have the feeling, the magazine itself (the printed pages) has heart in it, and was made with “love”.

I will be honest, the model left are the only one that I cared for to begin with. I want the victrix and guilliman as an ultramarine player ( I want to play victrix x3), and the atv/outrider as a present for a friend, so for his motorbike black templar army…

Love the reveals and your reviews. However your cost is off. Euro price per issue is 10.99. As a subscriber I am still happy with that, but it does change the cost savings overall.

I live in Germany and have picked up several of these for €9.99 by now. At a large supermarkt chain.
