Black Friday Hobby Deals 2020

Well, it’s Black Friday week again. I’ve done one of these every year so far and I must say, the last couple of years as a hobbyist, I have felt a little left out. Let’s see what Black Friday has in store for us Wargamers and Miniature Painters in 2020?

Click this link & buy your hobby stuff from Element Games for the UK & Europe to support – Use Code “FAUX2768” at the checkout for double reward points.

So, whilst all of the electronics device lovers are buying Echo’s and Nest’s like they are going out of fashion, fighting for TVs etc, you are probably scouring the internet looking for cheap miniatures, tools and other sundries? So let’s have a look at the best places for you to pick up some deals this year. Get your fingers on your clickers and be ready to refresh some webpages.

If you do see any solid deals we haven’t mentioned, add them in the comments and we’ll update them throughout the day.

Lets do it (we’ll get the chaff out of the way first)

Nada, zip, zero. Don’t expect anything. With the exception of the yearly Christmas Boxes that release around now, I’m yet to see Games Workshop themselves do any kind of Sale. Sure, check Games Workshop at 10:00 am on Friday morning when the site usually updates, just don’t be shocked when it looks identical to how it did 2 minutes earlier.

You may be able to pick up some Warhammer deals at online wargames stores but most have your products discounted to the max of 20% off anyway.

So here you go, here’s our affiliates, at least check those stores.

I”ve checked every year and again, you’ll find very little in the Warhammer Sphere on here that is discounted.

The best I’ve seen so far this year is a Mini Vortex Mixer listed with 20% off. Always great to have. Honestly, just try searching for some of your favourite brands.

One thing t o check is 3D printers, you do get quitre a few of them discounted on Black Friday. For Miniatures, get Resin, for Terrain, get an FDM Printer if you’re happy with ridges in it.

Cameras too, if you want really good pictures of your minis, grab a half decent SLR Camera in a Blck Friday deal, and one of those cheap studio backdrops.

Boxed boardgames are another categorywhich could see some decent savings, there’s moore miniatures out there than warhammer you know?

Fallout, Doom, Harry Potter, Resident Evil…. and tonns more all with great miniatures

But hoesntly, like previous years, the discount you see on Black Friday will be no different to what you see on the previous day. this year though, if it is a specific Black Friday deal, it will be marked on the listing.

Personally this is about as good as Amazon for hobby stuff, it’s all individual sellers. So unless it is a big ebay business then you will likely see exactly the same discounts as you see any other day. Sure eBay have Black Friday deals but these are for big companies Like LG, & Dyson etc. Manufacturers who have a direct ebay presence.

We don’t have that with our favourite brands. Worth a nosey as you shop round but dont get held up on there too long, there are other places to check.

Hobby Stores

If you are in the UK, sorry, they are closed until at least next week and for some regions longer. So unless they offer a click and collect service you may be SOL, Thanks, Covid you absolute D!ck…

But again, check some online stores, a few will have some deals on hobby sundries.

MTech Cave are having one so if you are in the US, have a nosey. (Code “FAUXH” = 15% off – but i doubt this will be stackable)

Element Games had one last year, so if you reside in the UK or any of Europe, worth a gander over there. FAUX2768 should still net you double reward points back too.

Here’s the rest of our affiliates again, check em, I will be

UK:Element Games, The Outpost, Wayland Games, Mighty Lancer, Goblin Gaming, Forbidden Planet, Model Scenery Supplies, eBay, AmazonUS/Canada:MTechCave (Code “FAUXH” = 15% off), GameKastle, eBay (US), eBay (CA), AmazonEurope:eBay (DE), eBay (FR), eBay (ES), eBay (IT), AmazonAustralia:eBay, AmazonGlobal: RedGrass Games, Warcolours

Black Friday Sale Offer Deals

Foot – Mouth

Wayland Games (UK & Europe)

One of the few Hobby Stores who have pre-announced their Black Friday deals and have a dedicated Black Friday section on the website.

These look to be quite killer wth up to 80% off models. Again, unlikely to be anything Warhammer unless they have excess stock cloggiing the shelves.

Many of the things which have 80% off are books and sundries, but they do have a decent 35% off the Harry Potter range of models.

MTech Cave (US)

One of our favourite US hobby stores are offering 25% “SITEWIDE” off with code “blackfriday”, unfortunately this is not stackable with our own code “FAUXH” which would normally net you 15% off

Image may contain: text that says"MTECHCAVE.COM A MC BLACK FRIDAY SALE 25% OFF STOREWIDE"

Not the biggest store in the world, but Mikah runs his Tech Cave with the customer in mind, so please offer him your support as he puts a lot back into the hobby community – much more than just his shop.

Specific Brands

Right, this is where it actually gets fun as we know some brands are ready and geatred up for Black Friday with pre anounced deals

RedGrass Games

20% off everything is nothing to be baulked at. if you don’t have a wet palette already, now you have no excuse. if you don’t buy oneThanks SteveThanks Steve. Have a significant other or relative buy you one as a gift.

Definitely check out their nippers, some of the best in their price range (which just dropped) and the Handle is really useful too

Absolutely solid paind and we really liked them in our review

The banner advertises “up to 50% off”, but after combing through the 6 pages of special offers I’m yet to find what is most likely the 1 product which makes this banner valid

In the most case, you are getting 1€-2€ off your smaller bundles. and the largest bundle, of 208 paints has 20€ off, from 469.99€ to 449.99€.

Garfy get a Grip

This is another maybe, but Garfy Last year released a Black Friday Edition of our favourite painting handle. here’s hope he does so again

The FauxHammer Awards - Best Hobby Handle 2020 - Garfy Get a Grip

Garfy’s eBay store had this all-black model along with some bundles available. I remember well as I picked up 5 of the pro-long for myself.

I hope this deal is back.
